Curves Downtown Riverside, CA Holds Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser
Curves recently finished its annual Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser, raising $2,300. The donation will help fund mammograms for uninsured women and other resources at The Pink Ribbon Place of Riverside.

Curves member in Rockwell, NC completes 1000th Curves workout
If you’ve got an excuse for why you can’t work out, you probably don’t want to use it on Laurie Shuping.
Shuping works out five days a week and doesn’t let much of anything keep her from her daily session at Curves in Rockwell.
Last Friday, Shuping had her 1000th workout at Curves in Rockwell, and owner Karen Smith threw a party for one of her most dedicated customer. Shuping signed up at Curves – a women’s only workout facility – in September of 2007.

Curves Gym for Women in Redhill raises £2,000 for Breast Cancer Care
Fitness club Curves Redhill has raised vital funds in support of charity Breast Cancer Care during the October Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.
The club helped to raise money for Breast Cancer Care to highlight the importance of early detection and prevention amongst its members, through a series of fundraising and informative activities.
The club raised £2,000, which will go to support the cause’s free and confidential helpline, its wider services, and improve standards of care for women with breast cancer. Curves Redhill has been fundraising for breast cancer charities for the past seven years and has so far collected more than £12,000.

Curves in Bishopbriggs supports Breast Cancer Campaign
LIMBER ladies have helped a Bishopbriggs gym beat its own record of raising cash for breast cancer awareness this year.
Curves organised a series of fundraising events during Breast Cancer Awareness Month – generating £1,260 in donations and more than 670 bras for recycling.
Every kilo is worth £1 to Breast Cancer Campaign, to be added to the total.
Curves offered free membership for any lady who donated to the campaign during October.

Woman loses half her weight after wake-up call on truck scale
Last month, Laura Skinger was honored at the Curves International convention as one of the exercise franchise’s “biggest losers” for reducing to half her original weight of nearly 500 pounds.
“Laura’s determination and perseverance are phenomenal,” says Nadia Rodman, a Curves’ registered dietitian. “She’s been featured in Diane, the Curves magazine, and most recently in the Curves Style Show at our national convention in Vegas. Her story has inspired Curves members and owners alike.”

Members of Curves gym in Ulladulla support breast cancer group
Ulladulla’s Curves gym has exceeded its $5,000 fundraising target during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Curves Girls Night In on Saturday October 27 was attended by 65 pink ladies who danced the night away and boosted the fundraising coffers.
Curves owner Lee-Ann Crellin said the ladies enjoyed a “very successful evening” with seven stalls, raffles, games and dancing until late.

Curves Warric County Member Success Story
Jennifer Vandivier lost an amazing 49 pounds at the Warric County Curves. She gave up cupcakes and brownies and found that Skinny Cow desserts satisfied her cravings. She even plans to run her second half-marathon, but her ultimate goal is to run a full marathon. Way to go, Jennifer!

Curves Gym for Women in Devizes raises £400 for Breast Cancer Care
A light-hearted Bake a Boob Cake competition has raised nearly £400 for Breast Cancer Care. It was run by the women-only Curves gym at the Roundway Farm trading estate in Devizes.
There were seven entries, from a Curvacious Betty Boob to a plate of aptly-named cup cakes.
The competition was judged on Tuesday by Peter Vaughan, of The Bistro in Devizes, and professional cakemaker Jane Stayt, a member of the gym.
